    Would you send her?

Dd hasn't had a temp since about 8pm last night and hasn't vomited since 9pm which was nothing really as she hasn't eaten dinner. This morning she is running around and has had toat and cereal for breakfast and is still asking for food which I said no to jic. She would normally go to dc at 7am but I held off to see how she is. Thought of give her another 30mins and make a judgement call.

No. Someone did that at DD's kindy, and then got sick again at lunchtime. We got the 'infectious illness' notes, and now she is sick as well because they were still infectious and I'm desperately hoping that I don't get it at well, and also that the baby stays IN until she is better. Just keep her home, 24 hours is standard exclusion between vomits and fevers, and 48 hours exclusion is best practice.

Also, if you're willing to withhold food, that probably tells you enough - even you aren't sure if she is fine. Don't send her.

No, i always give my children a rest after the fever has gone to help move whatever it was. Sometimes kids get the same symptoms again at night with nothing through the day, or they can come back stronger later in the day from running around and not resting.
Plus there are other children and adults that will be affected if she is sick!

It should be standard for childcares to exclude children whom have been sick for 24hours at the very least...

Not only that - but it is also kinder on the child, the last thing I as a fully grown adult wants to do after just getting over a bug is to go straight into work it helps to have that extra day off to really recoup!

Glad to read you kept her home.
24 hours is our standard & 48 before we say we are in the clear. With 5 kids, if one vomits its a domino effect. If we get 48 hours with no one getting sick then we are safe.
