DS was given hazelnut cream pav at my FIL's birthday and within seconds showed hives around his mouth, nose, eyes, torso. as the hives went within two hours he then began to vomit for the next 4 hours on and off each time the vomit amouts were big, so maybe 6 vomits in 4 hours then again only once after a feed the next morning.
I have an appointment with my pead for the 17th March but given these results that i have recieved from my GP i am concerned (as any mother) and very anxious about the wait in case he is exposed.
A friend kissed him on the forehead yesterday and as i was getting him in the car i noticed a reaction around this area (FFS!) so this concerns me as to how sensitive he may be.
Loula - a side note, could you ring your paed's office and explain your concerns to the receptionist? Perhaps ask to be kept on a wait list so you can be called at short notice (if that is possible for you). I think they would want to know about the forehead reaction too, it may help bump you up the list so to speak. xx
I don't know much about allergies, but does anyone in your or DH's family suffer allergies? If yes, their level of reaction may be indicative of how Will will react (just a guess/suggestion). I hope you get your answers and don't have to wait too long. OH - if you eat any of the listed items, does Will react to your breast milk? My understanding is that this happens when there are severe allergies involved. If Will doesn't react then hopefully this means less severe allergies.
I emailed my pead when DS had the reaction and he suggested to either see him or listed some allergiest to get a referal to. we are going back to the Pead on the 17th March and I requested that my GP send a copy of the lastest rast test to his rooms.
The only problem is his rooms are only open Tuesday abd Thursdays so i will have to wait till then to hear back from the email about his recent results
so in the meantime goggleing like mad and trying to get some idea on the severity of this
ETP the first appointment we got was the end of may and have now been given the March appointment but that wasprior to these lastest results
