Bella gave us quite a scare tonight. She is only 2 and a half months old.
She had 2 fits.. one after the other.
She was just laying on the floor kicking and moving as she usually does, then all off a sudden she looked at me her arms shot straight out beside her and she went stiff and started shaking, her eyes rolled into the back of her head, she stopped breathing and started to turn blueish.... it only lasted about 10 sec then she just came to and started screaming....
then about 30 sec later she did the exact same thing!!!!!
I have never been so scared in my life.
She is ok at the moment i just have to keep an eye on her.
I'd be taking her to the hospital ASAP! There could be many reasons why she had those fits but I would want to be sure it wasn't anything serious. I hope she's ok.
They didn't take her in for observation? Did they tell you what it could be? Are they doing any follow up tests. Not to freak, but as someone who grew up with an epileptic mother fits can be dangerous and I'd want answers. If you can sleep with her so you can keep an eye on her. Did they say what to do if she fits again?
They said it could be a couple of things...
1. Sudden fever
2. Some spew could have been sitting on her larynx (SP?) and caused her to stop breathing
3 . uhh i cant rememeber the rest now! argh!

I thought the hospital would have kept her in for obs.
