my lil man had it when he was 4mths old and we were on holidays in coffs harbour....i ended up taking him to the hospital as his temp was high and nothing was bringing it down and even steaming him the shower didn't realise the mucus etc
the antibiotics worked wonders plus the nurses and that were great, i did find that the medication that he had did give him runny/explosive poos so jusy watch out but he was good within days
oh another thing they told me was for him to sleep elevated so that the mucus ran down the back of the throat
sending you heaps of hugs sweety and hoping your lil miss gets better real soon
xoxox
Shanti -not good enough medicine - it still let her get sick!
Iona Maca - i have elevated her bed and im sleeping in her room tonight! im so worried about her and how she will go! LOL i will take explosive poo's over this anyday! fingers are crossed that she is much better come morning!
Sunshine - i really steamed the bathroom up tonight so i hope that helps! and ta i will try and give her water - she isn't drinking much at all at the moment!
hun... unfortunately BM doesn't stop them getting sick, but it can certainly help even if it's just in the comforting of and for them, so take heart in that bit. Oskar had croup, I think similar age to CM's little bub.... I think it was about a week too. Your DD probably has a steroid as well? That's what they use to help to open the airways up. It sounds like you're doing all the right things and she will start to get better over the next few days hun. As for uni, go with your gut is all I can say on that one.
yes she is on a steroid to open her airways! is that bad?
And she is not wanting to feed from me at all atm! but she is taken small amounts of EBM from a bottle! im worried that she won't go back to the boob but that should be another thread! LOL
I went to uni today and DH took the day off work! so all worked out with that!
Yep my little guy was on steroids too, that was the medication we had to keep waking him for. I'm glad she's feeling well enough to take some EBM today.
