    Yes you need a script for redipred but I have found that giving some ventolin helps as well. You can now buy that over the counter for $5.60. My brother used to get very severe croup and mum swore by the steam method

    Well I have ventolin in the house as well... pretty sure I actually had my gp recommend it once...

    I've used ventolin for it when i've run out of Redipred/Predmix, but it's no where near as effective. It will still do until you can get to a Dr for a script though.

    We found that nurofen works too; reduces the inflammation so we don't have to go to hossy with DS1.
