    Update again

Saw a lovely registrar today who, when I asked to speak to the consultant, said yes immediately but offered to answer my questions as much as she could herself first. Then the consultant came in, a plan has been put in place, and I am reassured that if I have questions I can call the lovely registrar instead of whoever answers the phone so no more being fobbed off. Also they have asked us to remain in the public system as it is easier for them to confer with other surgeons, and as the moment his case is being reviewed by a radiologist, a paediatric consultant, an upper limb specialist as well as the orthopaedic surgeon. Should hear by close of day next Monday if he is having other testing done and we have a rough date by which, if there is no improvement, they will act surgically but right now they want to avoid it.

Well done!! So happy that you have a plan in place that you are comfortable with.
