Finger crossed it's not. My DS got it and I was so shocked - I thought he was 'safe' because he was immunised. He was so sick. My doctor was the same as yours - diagnosed it pretty much straight away and the test confirmed it.

Poor little thing - hope your DS feels better soon

Well just thought I'd let you's know the result of DS1's whooping cough test was all clear.

But now DS2 has developed a nasty barking cough- i'm thinking croup. Off to the doctors soon to see what they say. I've never been to the doctors as much as we have in the last 2 weeks (was only there with DS2 the beginning of last week with a rash- which turned out to either be an allergic reaction or a virus- was unable to confirm). Ahh...the joys of being a parent.

What a relief it's not WC! Sorry to hear you're having a bad run with illness, we've just had the same. DD had a cough for a little over 4 weeks and was treated for croup and tested for WC. Looks like it was just a nasty, lingering virus. I had it too, an awful cough for 10 days. I was tested for WC as well but it was also negative. I felt like death though.

I hope you guys are on the mend soon
