DD has a weird rash-type thing on her bottom atm. Noticed it probably about a week ago but it just looked like normal nappy rash. Some of it has started getting better with paw paw ointment, but there are a few (probably about 5 or 6 little patches) that have developed into pimply looking lumps, bigger than a pinhead. Not sure what it is, but it doesn't look very nice. A couple of them are even on the edge of her outer labia, then there are some on her bottom, and a couple down low on her abdomen (just above her pubic bone).
Should I take her to the doctor? Or any idea what it might be?
Try something anti fungal. Wash all her nappies in lavender oil and use some tea tree on the areas. Dilute the oil first- a few drops in some olive oil will do the trick. Make sure you only use it externally.
Keep the area dry and lots of nappy free time til it clears up.
You can also get an anti fngal ointment from the chemistif you prefer.
But def was her nappies in hot water and tea tree or lavender, 6 drops in the wash and 6 drops in the rinse.
I agree with Limeslice, my health nurse said sometimes its a fungal rash and any antifungal cream will get rid of it, like canestan or something like that. And also washing nappies etc like limeslice said.
thanks girls. picked up a little tube of Daktozin this afternoon, will see how things go over the next few days! If it doesn't start clearing up then I'll take her to the dr.
