thread: DS is getting gromits in both ears this Thurs, what can I expect afterwards?

    I'm not sure about the grommets alone, DD had her tonsils & adenoids out as well, so was in pain. From what I saw of the little boy who only had grommets, he was great!
    As MG said, its the reaction to the anaesthetic I'd be more worried about. That little boy was fine, another was groggy, but ok also. DD wasn't so great.
    She woke up instantly & was very jittery & antsy, as well as sleepy most of the afternoon. She couldn't sit still, but needed sleep iykwim. I would at least wait til the next day for the photo's. He could be back to his normal self, but he might not be. You can't really tell.
    It is scary, no matter whats happening. I'll be thinking of you. I think I cried the whole time DD was in the theatre. Actually I stopped for about 5 minutes, then started again when I heard her come out, coz she came out crying & I had to wait to go in to her.

    DD2 has her done 2 weeks ago, she woke pretty agitated form the anesethetic but after an hour or so was ok, didnt sleep any more than normal that say, we gave her panadol that night, id cancel the photo shoot though, i'll find the thread i started too..
