DS just drank dishwashing liquid - what to do?

Ooh good point. Even worse if it was bubble bath or something... I guess they give the broadbrush advice to prevent anything burning the throat etc but yes could in some cases complicate things.

thanks ladies, so just for the record, wipe his mouth out with a wet cloth, milk is a good thing to give (just a small amount) and to watch for vomiting and bubbles coming out of his nose (I kid you not lol), she said obviously if he seems to be having a reaction to take him to hospital. But he hasnt even been sick yet so maybe I caught him just in time.

I was changing DD nappy and normally hear him move the breakfast bench chairs we have locks on the cupboards so guess will have to make sure we put the liquid away now.

Far out, bubbles out his nose? That would be alarming anyway! Glad he seems ok, surely he wouldn't have had much cos it can't taste great?

This reminds me of when my brother was little, probably under 2. We were at my nanas and the toybox was in the kitchen, and my brother was up there and my dad went to grab him because we were going home and he was drinking from the windex bottle.

He had no side effects, dad just rang poisons hotline and they said give him some water.

Depends on the one it is. The one I used said to use plenty of water, to try and dilute the detergent.
