Something similar (sort of) happened in our house a couple of weeks ago....without the trauma though.

DD was biting on a biscuit and started to cry. She said her tooth hurt. When she showed me one of the bottom middle teeth was bleeding a little bit and wiggled. I assumed it would be OK in a couple of days but after a week when it was still loose I rang a dentist. They spoke to their head ortho who told me that in DD's case it was probably because it was going to become loose soon anyway. It's still loose some three weeks later and a little painful, but they said that was to be expected. If it got more painful or blackened or any other issue they were going to make a spot for her straight away.

So in short (sorry for the waffle) I think ringing someone is a great idea. If you have a paedi dentist close even better.

Good luck hun - it really does suck, Izzy pushed her tooth up into her gum a few weeks ago and the 2 next to it are now going grey. We went for a check as they x-rayed it to see if the adult tooth was damaged and they also told us to look for root damage which will come up in a pimple/gum boil on the gum up high. Best to get it checked good luck tomorrow xoxo

My baby had to have a needle and the tooth pulled!

It had broken off under the gum, they are hoping the other one will be ok but we have to go back in a week, then a month then 3 months! She also has to be on soft foods for two weeks!

    The poor thing
