Does sound like the gastro we had a few months ago. Lasted for 11 days for DS. I struggled to keep those fluids in though as he was just pooing constantly so we ended up in hosp with a NGT. I was told later that there's a strain about ATM that remains in the gut longer than usual and is contagious for longer than usual (instead of the standard 48 hrs after last symptoms, apparently it can still be passed on 5-7 days later). Boy, did I feel terrible to learn that... we passed it on to friends of ours and my Mum.

I think once it's been going on that long though, it might be worth getting him checked out on the off chance it is something else. Did the rest of the family get it?

Thankfully, noone else has had it. Have been doing lots of handwashing this week though!

he has had couple of cruskits and kept them down, but not much fluids again. will have to try again.

That would make me more suspicious about the potential for it to be something else, I have to say. I was practically bathing in antiseptic when DS got sick, I was so desperate to not get it as I was 18wks preg at the time too. But regardless, we all got it and anyone who came near us got it too. My Mum was in the house briefly but she barely touched anything and didn't change nappies or anything and she still got sick.

Hopefully it passes very soon. xo

I have wondered too. Especially as DD and DS share drink bottles etc (even if i try to limit it) and shower/bath together most days.

Something it is more important to see a dr about?
