I'd probably get him seen to by someone else just to make sure especially if not normal before he got sick. Keep up the probiotics, also bananas are great for firming up stools.
ds is eating normally and normal energy of a toddler but still has up to 4 sloppy nappies a day. I started him on probiotics a few days ago. the local dr is hopeless. is this normal, and it will recover on its own, or do I need to find someone else to take DS to see? the nappies aren't completely liquid like when he was sick, but I don't think they are normal. thanks.

Sounds like giardia. I'd get his poo tested. Can you see a different GP? Poor little guy![]()
I took poo samples to dr, and he said as he was looking better (?) no need to test. I really need to find a new dr.
