My 10 year old weighs 29kg and she is fine.

I think at your DS's age they are starting to grow up and lose their baby look iykwim.

It could just be that his how he is IYKWIM? Fast metabolism?

Does he eat a good diet? I guess all you can do is try to get a good balanced diet into him. My DS seems to go through phases with eating. Some weeks he eats like a horse and others he seems to survive on air only. He has just turned 3 and weighs 17kg.

Incorporate high calories foods into his diet. Cheese, milks, yoghurts, have a google of what foods are high calorie.

My DD was sick earlier this year, and didn't put weight on for months. She was frail, weak and looked ill. She had a Staph infection in her digestive tract.
Since then, she's fluttered between being a good eater and a fussy eater, BUT has put on 3 kg's and now weighs 16kg. Finally, she's moving into the next clothes size. We've spent 9-12 months in size 2 clothes now, bring on the 3's!!

Follow your instinct, do something to his diet if you think it's necessary. xx

    DD1 is nearly 4 and is 16kg i think.

looking at my MCHN book it says boys 3yrs he would be about 90th% at 18kg (roughly)

I think his weight sounds fine. My DS1 is 4 and he weighs around 17kg, my DD is 5 1/2 and weighs about 18-19kg. I don't think he sounds under weight, or skinny. Though I suppose it would depend on his height.

The concern with my DD, was that she hadn't put on weight for a considerable amount of time, and was floating in 3rd -10th percentile.
