Oh what a terrible situation to be in. No wonder you are so concerned - it would be terribly scary. I can't imagine what you are going through. Keep the faith and trust the medical team will do the best by your precious girl. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers, praying for her to come through her operation safely and have a speedy recovery.
I think the thoughts you are having are completely normal in your situation

My DD has had two anaesthetics in the past few months and one procedure. They weren't as full on procedure wise, but still scary.

I work as a vet nurse and see surgery's and handle anaesthetics daily, and I was still scared. I had bad dreams prior to the procedure the last time, and we had an incident at work with a similar procedure which did not end well.

I felt awful being so scared for her life. I wouldn't share with DH either because he was more scared of the unknown than I was. So I tried to carry the burden alone.

They do have people at the hospital who are trained in helping you through this emotionally as well. Use them, they are more experienced with what you are going through than you are and can help alleviate your fears.

It is perfectly natural to be so scared! My DH was very sick and for months I was terrified he was going to die. It was a constant state of anxiety so I really feel for you because it must be 10 fold with your own child. I will be praying for your little one. Remember to take care of yourself too. Big hugs.

You are not foreseeing what is going to happen. This is your brains way of working through the fear.

I will be praying for your little girl and for you.
