Thanks ladies. HotI, one of them only eats dairy in the form of occasional chocolate...
Have you tried encouraging them to sit on the toilet longer to make sure it's all out?
Also Does the poo look normal and well formed without being to pebbly or soft? If its not formed properly, it could indicate a food intolerance or maybe not enough or too much of a particular food.
I think 5 poos is excessive. Maybe keep a food and poo diary for a week for each child as well just to see if there are any patterns. Then you could always take that to a doctor if you are concerned.

My daughter used to poo 4-5 times or more a day until she toilet trained just before 2 now it's once a day or once every 2 days.
Thanks so much everyone. No, I wouldn't say well-formed. Very soft.![]()
DS1 was pooing 3 times a day before being toilet trained and was generally soft and mushy paste. Once he toilet trained he became 1 or 2 a day and formed.
DS2 currently 2 a day poo and also mushy and soft assuming same will happen when he does toilet train.
