Oh Glenny you are an amazingly strong and awesome mother. It must be so hard to see your little guy like that. Thinking of you guys and look forward to seeing that your little man is back home with you soon. You have a strong little guy on your hands I'm sure it won't be long. Xx
I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that. I completely understand the lightning fear that grips your heart the moment you hear that your child has a heart problem. What I can't believe is that it wasn't investigated as soon as the murmur was heart. When my baby Shayla was born the paediatrician heard a heart murmur and within half an hour I had a paediatric cardiologist in my room checking her. Ten minutes later we were down in the SCN with her having an ultrasound and echo done. She ended up being admitted into the SCN for the next 3 nights for monitoring. Luckily she was able to be on a portable monitor so whilst she was technically an SCN patient I was able to keep her in my room with me most of the time. She managed to avoid surgery and fixed the problem herself, but I was an emotional wreck the first day. I know us Mummies are super strong, but it just shows how amazing we are when you can go through something like you have just experienced. You are truly a super mum and your little one is lucky to have you as his mummy ♥ My thoughts are with him during his recovery.
