I'm so sorry you are all having to endure this! Especially little Charlie. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and sending love, light and healing, I hope for the best for Charlie xxx
Glenny and her DH are waiting to see the surgeon and Charlies Dr today to hear a plan. They are thinking of taking him off the breathing machine to see how he goes. Many prayers still needed today.......come on little guy!
Charlie is stable at them moment. He is requiring a little bit more help with his breathing. His lungs are still too wet to try to take him off the breathing machine. The Dr they spoke to today tried warning them that they may have to start preparing themselves for the worst. Glenny and Gary believe that this is impossible so they are fully committed to only planning on Charlie coming home well! I suggested that that Dr needed to be kicked and if she hadn't done it then I'd happily do it for her
Charlie is still having boobie milk feeds and pooping three times this morning in fact.
Glenny finds it hard to watch him when he cries and she can't just pick him up and cuddle him. As I'm sure all us mummas can imagine is a living hell.
Glenny and Gary are trying to spend as much time with dd as they can. They are drawing as much energy and strength from her as they can. She said her and Gary are doing as well as they can, taking turns in falling apart and picking each other up.
She also said that her mothers group is doing a good job at keeping them fed and watered. Thank god for mothers groups!
Glenny said so say a huge thank you to everyone for their comments and text. She reads them all but just doesn't have the energy to reply to everyone.
Come on bb community. It's times like this we shine. All your strength and positive energy are needed for Glenny and her family now please.
