Update

Doing a bit better today!! Yay!! Still on the cpap and will be all day. Hoping to wean to high flow oxygen tomorrow. Central line came out today which meant my poor little man needed a couple of new canulas in but he was super brave. Not quite stable enough for a cuddle today but hopefully tomorrow!! He's back on small bolus feeds and hopefully weaning some sedation as well. Doing so well!!!

Hi girls. Thank you so much for all the messages and thoughts for us and Charlie.

He had a good night last night, was nice and calm and slept well. This morning I even got a cuddle!!!! I had him for about an hour until the doc stole him off me for more blood tests. :

: He doesn't like being poked and really dislikes needles so wee had a bit of a scary time during the needles when his heart rate soared to 205 and his O2 level dropped but he was stable when I left and slowly calming down. DH and I are tag teaming at the moment so we each spend half the day at the hospital and half with DD at home. She is helping to keep us sane at the moment!!

I read this thread and all your comments even if I don't have time or energy to post. I appreciate all the comment, it means so much to know our little man has so many people praying for him. He is slowly getting stronger and the dr today said he would be happy if this progress continues for us to leave intensive care next week. Yay!!
