So it seems Charlie had other ideas. A bit of infection and requiring a bit more O2. Staying in PICU for a few more days. Today was day 13 of no cuddles!! That's 1/4 of his life. Glenny is sad, over it and a bit of a mess today.... But if you know Glenny you know she is doing it in style and with the focus that tomorrow's a new day and she'll be ready to face anything. She really is as amazing as her son!
C'mon Charlie boy!!! Keep fighting bubba, Mumma needs a cuddle.

Had cuddles today!! He was awake and looking at me and then snuggled in and went to sleep. Was SOOOOOOOO hard to put him down to come home. Such a great day!!

Few setbacks this week. Pneumothorax is back so chest drain staying in. New infection as well. My poor bub also has had so much blood taken that they can't find a good vein in either leg or arm so he now has a cannula in his head. :-(
They also weaned his methadone too quickly and put my poor boy into withdrawal today. Not nice to see. Still hoping we'll be out of icu and onto the ward this week but not holding my breath.
Glenny, just wanted to say you are an amazingly strong mum. Amazing!
You and Charlie are in my thoughts each day.
