I heard last night that he had had a stable uneventful day. His chest was still open and they were hoping to close it on Monday if all was well. I did text Glenny a few hours ago but haven't heard back. I'll update more when I hear
Her facebooks been quiet today too. Maybe catching up on some rest.
Charlie's had a stable weekend. They are hoping his heart swelling has come down enough that today they can close his chest wound. Glenny was able to sleep in her own bed last night
Wow! Just catching up on all the comments from the past few days. So amazing having so many people thinking of our boy! He's doing well, I am currently waiting in the parents lounge outside the picu while they close up Charlie's chest wound. It will be nice to be able to look at our boy without being able to see his heart beating in his chest cavity.
We lost one of the other babies in here yesterday. As you can imagine, we all get pretty close in here and yesterday was a tough day for all of us.
ETA: - just read your post Glenny. that's fantastic news about Charlie. What a strong little fighter you have there. So very sorry for the parents who lost their baby yesterday.
So glad to hear how Charlie's going. Must be devastating for the family who lost their little one yesterday.
I keep finding myself whingeing about little everyday things and then pull myself up short when I think of what your family (and others in the same boat) are going through.
Thinking of you, Charlie and all the bubs who are fighting hard in picu.
