Just though I'd update. DS has his operation yesterday and I'm pleased to say it all went well. It was upsetting whilst he was going under and in recovery but I am actually quite surprised how quickly he was back to his normal happy self.

Thankfully we have some strong pain relief for him so I'm hoping I can manage the pain over the next week or to.

I'm so happy the operation is over and I can get my happy healthy baby boy back. I was so very impressed with all the surgical staff and ward staff, they went out of their way to help make it easy on him and comfort a sooky la la mumma.

Once again thank you for all your advice and support.

That is fantastic news! You won't look back - I suffered horribly with repeated infections many times a year, kicked the tonsils out when I was 16. Only wished it was done earlier xoxoxo

Thanks guys. You have all been so helpful.

He had a bit of a temp last night, spoke to the Hossy and surgeon who want me to keep an eye on it and might get AB if it goes up again.

Apart from that he is doing great. Had two pieces of toast and a bowl of nutra grain for breakfast so he must be feeling ok.

A bit of a disturbed night's sleep but I guess that is to be expected. Nothing a cuddle and drink of water didn't fix.

Once again, a huge thanks to all of you

Glad to hear he's doing so well.

And good work on the food. In my experience, the single biggest factor in stopping bleeding later down the track is their diet. Well done!

Thanks guys. Thankfully the temp has stayed down today and he is in a rather happy mood.

He just polished off a bowl of pasta but didn't eat his veges (which he usually does). Oh well, I'm just glad he ate tea.

So glad to hear that your little man is recovering well, Spring! Hope that temp continues to stay down.

You won't look back now that it's all done - I'm so pleased for you and your DS!
