I have really high arches and was also prescribed orthotics, which are only there to support what my mother (and dad!) gave me. My feet also turn in. I'd never had it brought up as an issue though until adulthood when I would be wearing heels for work and had really sore feet all the time. He told me to get flat shoes too and avoid heels... Suits me !!
Try not to feel bad, it probably will right itself, and with a little bit of support in the shoe and other things being done, like chiro etc not make a huge impact.
We use shop bought ones that the podiatrist checked over first, we will go custom when she grows as dd1's are very like mine. Dd2 had curly toes but tape didn't work so she had surgery last year to cut the tendons, we did that for her as her shoes were hurting.
