Completely normal. It will thin as she gets older and open. That's what they call the hymen and although most babies are open and widen as they get older and closer to puberty some girls take much much longer for this to happen. Absolutely nothing to worry about. My daughter's was also completely closed and not that it something you look at but I am sure it was still closed when she was in early primary school. For obvious reasons I don't know when it did open but she has just started menstruating and its obviously opened now. My younger two girls were open from birth.
Thanks for the reassuranceI've been googling like mad lol. I think I'll get the doc to check to make sure there are no other issues. I'm not so frantic now lol.
