How old is she? Our DD's have done that/do that when they are teething or having night terrors. We are going through the exact same thing right now with DD2 who is 19mths. I suspect she's cutting her 2 year old molars and she's had a definite night terror this week as well. She had fevers overnight last night and a mild cough but is happy as otherwise.
Any change in diet? Toothpaste? Soap? Could it be something she's exposed to in the evening which is causing a reaction?
Aside from that, it does sound familiar though, in that when my kids are ill they seem to have more symptoms at night, and also that my big girl started having a few night terrors at 3.
My DS3 has been having sleep disturbances for a few weeks now. Crying calling out getting up etc. I'm not even convinced he's properly awake a lot of the time. Could be a stage I think Hoping it passes soon
Sounds like a night terror. They are really quite distressing to watch. Our DD would not respond to us at all & trying to calm her down made them longer and worse. In the end we would just sit quietly near her and just watch her to make sure she didn't hurt herself (by falling over/knocking into walls). One thing that seemed to trigger them (could have been a coincidence) was BBQ Sakatas (probably due to the colourings/preservatives) so we avoided them and anything like that and tiredness. When she was very tired they would come on. Unfortunately we had the odd one still and it was just her becoming older that they stopped (She is 6 now)
