thanks ladies im not keen on using it, dr suggested it, but shes miserable and in obviously discomfort at night its ear infection number 6 or 7, nurofen just isnt cutting it at the moment, i dont know what to do

Ear infections are something Pain Stop is meant for. Just so you know I hope you don't feel like you're some "Drug up your kid" mother because you definitely aren't.

Pain Stop can make them sleepy. But perhaps a good sleep is what your little one and you need right now

i do feel like im drugging her thats why im so torn between using it or not

Ask yourself this. Are you giving it to her because you want her to sleep or because you want to ease her pain? People give their children Panadol all the time even at the slightest temp when we should let their bodies fight off whatever it is they have, yet when our children are in dire pain we can't help them? That doesn't make sense to me. I have had earaches before and they are bloody awful, I can't imagine the pain of that and cutting teeth I have cried numerous times with earaches.

You are relieving her pain first and FOREMOST. Ear infections are horribly painful. If it pushes her over into some healing sleep so be it.

i'll do anything to rid her of the pain i hate seeing her like this, i dont care about whether it makes her sleep or not, im more worried about it making her too sleepy

If you can get her to take it & it helps, I'd do it. I have pain stop I was given for DD1 after surgery, but she refused to take it, so we just went with overlapping the panadol & nurofen. I have given it to DD2 for her tonsillitis though. It did make her sleep, but with the amount of pain she was in, that sleep was very much needed. I'd do what ever is needed to help her with the pain Your not drugging her hun, your helping her. She needs it. Giving it to her just coz she won't sleep, but is otherwise happy would be drugging her.

Sounds like her wakefulness can defy even medicine. You are doing a fabulous job taking care of her.
