If she can't lie on her back and it is weeping I would be taking her back to another Dr or to the ER, as she obviously in discomfort and/or pain. It sounds more like a bite to me.

How is Bella? Did you go see another doctor today hun?

I was under the impression that you can not get shingles unless you have had the chicken pox virus and if you did it would be very rare.

Once you have chicken pox, its stays dormant in the spine and when you immune system is down it can come back out but as shingles as it is the same virus (a type of herpes zoster virus).
Some other symptoms that may be present with shingles are possibly a fever, chills, nausea, diarrhea and difficulty urinating. Does she have any of these that you know of?

The more and more I look at it, it looks like she might have had a creppy crawly in her clothes that has bitten her multiple times. If its still irritating her, see how she goes with something like a cool towel on the area.

Hope you are both okay. Thinking of you both

ETA- Just read your edited first post. The poor little darling. Def take her to emergency. Its better to be over cautious.

I think we need to careful with hearsay diagnoses.
Blanching and viral illness isn't necessarily true for starters.

Has you little one had chicken pox? Seeing that shingles follows are primary chicken pox episode usually.

Maybe some calamine lotion to soothe the site and a av oil bath with tepid water might be soothing. Definately a trip to a different doc if you aren't happy before using any other professionals.

    Ouch! Poor bubba!
Its nothing like the impetigo the girls had when Jesse was born.
Hope it doesn't spread through the family & that its all over really soon. Be careful of any sores or anything the rest of you have. Just the slightest scratch can pick it up quickly.
