Urgent help! Pain relief Q

Can I give a .5mth old (5month next week) panadol and nurofen together for teething. This is the 3rd REALLY bad night we have had with them. I'm giving cold washers/teething things to chew on and using bonjela as well.

If you are sticking to the correct doses. BY together, do you mean alternating between the 2? I would be giving panadol, then 3 hrs later nurofen, then 3 hrs later, panadol or vice versa.

Yeah. I wasn't sure if you could give it like that because of the time things on it (4 - 6or 8 hrs etc) I never had this issue with DD1. It's killing me seeing her like this but it's also killing me in sleep deprevation and exhaustion.

My doctor told me to give them 2 hours apart minimum. For example Panadol at 4 and Nurofen at 6. Itms?

I'm not sure about the age, I would think if your LO can have them both individually it'd be ok to combine them? Maybe call 13 HEALTH?

U can but not together so either one then wait the 4 hours plus then the other

if its mainly just at night could it be an ear infection?

Yep, the alternation every 4 hours is what my Dr told me. However, I thought Nurofen was for 1yr plus. Maybe give that 13 HEALTH a call like H & Z suggested.

Our GP said we can alternate them 2 hours apart, but that was when she was sick. I don't know if it would be a good thing to do on a regular basis (not saying you are or plan to )
Does one or the other seem to settle it better? Pie usually responds better to Nurofen for teething.
It might be worth getting her checked out JIC?

Yes you can give nurofen and panadol. I recomend alternating them and giving them 3 hours apart.
