I'm glad that you were able to get into the GP so fast Indadhanu and got everything sorted. A double infection would explain why the panadol etc. didn't work for long, poor little thing had a lot to deal with. I hope she's feeling better soon. The antibiotics should kick in soon.

Yep we just walked straight in, and the receptionist walked us stright through the waiting room and out the back.
    AND she bulk billed us!

If more doctors were like that emergency rooms wouldn't be so packed!

She'd most probably be feeling most of the heat at the nape of her neck, so if you put a wet flannel there it will help bring it down, just make sure it's not too quick, because that can set off febrile convulsions.

    Good idea Yeddi

She's very sad now, sleeping restlessly on the mattress on the floor in the lounge room, waking up crying and yelling "ouch" or that she's "too hot". I think she's feeling really stiff, when she tried to move she cried. But nothing else - so that on it's own isn't a worrying is it? Not with a constant fever?
