Oh hun an aspirator isn't very exxy. And you can usually hire humidifyers. You can get them at the pharmacy. What about some vicks or eucalyptus oil on a hanky near his head (not too close though as it can be irritating for young children, and not too much vicks either). During the day you could just put a bit of vicks or eucalyptus into a bowl of hot water near where he's playing. Just make sure it is out of reach! If he does choke, lean him forwards and gently pat him on the back. Could you maybe sleep in his room with him, or have him in bed with you, just for peace of mind?

I put baby vicks on his back and chest before bed, but he had another cough and a bit of a choke while I was B- feeding him to sleep. It helps a bit but not for very long, I'll see if i can find a hanky and try that too.

He sleeps in our room anyway but I dont know if I'll hear him.
