I have posted about nappy rashes quite a few times. Its been a never ending battle for us but this time i'm beginning to think there is something much nastier behind it.

It started off with a red dots, so i cleaned it and put some cream on it - thinking it was just a normal nappy rash. Next nappy change had DD screaming hysterically we had to hold her down and clean it and put her steroid cream as well as barrier cream. Over night it seemed to clear up. Then her second change today it had spread right across her 'lady bits' so again i cleaned it and put cream back on. The next change which was only an hour later it had spread across her bottom - it was blistered and bleeding. I kept the nappy off, she even had a nap with it off so spent a good 3 hours nappy free. I had to go to work so put cream and a new nappy on.

DP called me at 8:30 saying that rash is now going up her inner thighs. Its now just a big red rash that is swollen and bleeding. I suggested to not use the steroid cream and possibly its fungal so to put her fungal cream on and see how she goes.

Shes currently sleeping but i am wondering, does a fungal rash spread that quickly? what else could it be? Diet related???

We are off to the doctors again tomorrow and will demand something extra be done, and a better solution be made as i hearing and seeing my baby in so much pain breaks my heart. I sit there and cry with her

Oh and before i forget, she is teething but has had no temperatures and has no other symptoms other than a horrible nasty rash.
