Dd2 woke up on Sunday from her nap with what looked like mozzie bites on her cheeks, so we sort of dismissed it.
Monday she woke up from her nap with the same thing on her cheeks and forehead. Again I thought it was mozzie bites, but then I changed her nappy and noticed the bites everywhere over her legs, butt and back. I posted pics on Facebook (thanks to the lovely Bb women who gave me advice!) and a friend came out and picked up some medicine from the chemist for her. We gave her a dose and it faded eventually by night time.
Since then she has come out in random hives, they come and then fade within a few hours and I'm not sure what to do!
We haven't introduced new things in her diet, she hasn't been playing in grass, no new washing powder - there doesn't appear to be a common trigger for them. They are always there after a nap, but I've washed the sheets. It's a relatively new mattress (December 2010) so it's not a festy old mattress, plus she got them after sleeping in our bed!
DH thinks it could be set off by a mozzie bite, but she shares a bed with dd1 for both naps and night sleeps and she doesn't have any bites on her?
They don't appear to be bothering here, she's not scratching them and she's no whingier than she always has been....
