i had my tonsils out 12 years ago...but iv had alot of throat infections since n my ent specilist told me its because they only 70% away n leave 30% behind and that is what was getting infected. getting them out is not bad at all. i was young though.
sounds like he could need them out...mine where taken out because id had tonsilitis from the dec to may continously .
