Tristan has a *possible* viral infection and is on a course of antibiotics. He has also been tested for Swine Flu (which is going about town) will get results by Friday.
I was told off for not taking him to the hospital this morning, we are SO SO damn lucky. Apparently twitching is the first sign of a convulsion  and you should take them to ED ASAP if they are twitching with a high temp. I didn't know that so obviously didn't take him. I just gave panadol and got a damp cloth to wet him down.
If he gets any worse we are to take him to ED ASAP, we have ventolin on hand to assist his breathing too. The Dr said that with underlying lung issues Tristan is at increased risk and we are not to take any more chances.
it's not swine flu, I have heard that is pretty bad. Is he still bf? at least he is drinking that will keep his fluids up, can you add some sustagen or horlicks or actavite to his milk or something like that to add some nutrients? cause I know this is the last thing you need
He is all clear now and didn't have swine flu (yay)
He isn't breastfed (stopped just after 12m) and is on pediasure formula, so already has quite a high intake of calories and nutrients, I think that's the only thing getting him through...
I was just thinking if you were bf to feed him often but it sounds like the pediasure is doing a similar thing So happy it wasn't swine flu and that he is better now.
