Just thought I would let you know that my daughter had one and it had resolved itself by the time she was 10 months old. I stressed heaps but apparently they are very common and nothing to worry about. Hope your GP put your mind at ease though!

My DD had one (that was due abdominal surgery the day she was born), and her surgeon said they weren't going to do anything about it til she was 2 and at our last surgical review he said it was nearly gone.

My DD has one. Generally they won't do anything about them until they're at least one (from working in theatre at the kids hossy) and they're causing an issue. They generally resolve themselves, but rarely cause any issue.

DD is 5, we've never had an issue so I see no cause to send her to a GA for cosmetic reasons. JMO of course.
