Huge hugs xx

I went through this with my DS who had recurrent UTI's across the space of about 6 months. We ended up having to use Bactrim and did a huge course and then a small once a day dose for a few months. Since then we've been good.

I am assuming the pain is causing her to not want to wee. Is your DD toilet trained? If so, perhaps offering a nappy might take the pressure off her bladder when she is weeing (because it can be done standing up)

Which antibiotic is she on? My DS was shocking with any antibiotic - especially the syrupy ones. The ONLY thing that worked for him was 1) holding his nose 2) taking the meds and while still holding his nose he took a mouthful of milo to drown the taste.

Star charts with a prize at the end of the dose was a winner as well.

UTI's are hard because they can go to the kidneys if much time is left from the time they get sick to treatment - so it's important to get onto it before she ends up in hospital.
