I'd ring a dr or pharmacy and find out the best way to treat it in a little girl.
She may have got it from exploring the area with dirty hands. Hope she gets better soon xx
Hi all, im pretty sure DD2 has vaginal thrush. yesterday when i changed her the smell was very very potent and she had the typical white flecks and when i gently spread her lips it was all red and she was saying ouch. i put a broad spectrum anti fungal cream on her yesterday.
Do u think i should get canesten or will it be too strong for her?
Also, how on earth did she get it? i get it from AB's, when im pregnant and when my BSL's have been running high for a while.
She hasnt been on AB's, she's certainly not pregnant and she's not showing any signs of being T1D that would concern me.
My poor bubba, i hate thrush so i cant imagine how she's feeling![]()

This article is designed for pregnancy, but has some great tips on thrush in general - preventing it as well as treating it. Some great everyday advice anyway, we should all consider doing these things generally speaking.

Wondering if the kids Inner Health Plus would also help in preventing it!?
Before you treat it, make sure you find out whether it is actually thrush. My girls get white discharge (looks a bit like thrush) and it gets quite red down there but nappy cream usually clears it up. Sometimes a mild non-steroidal anti inflammatory cream can clear it up too. If it doesn't clear up with non-thrush treatments in a couple of days, I'd take her to the doctor before you treat it. I imagine that thrush in small children is very rare. Good luck x
