You can buy wart off I think it's called from the chemist goes on like nail polish. Just Dab it on. From memory it doesn't hurt and and takes a few goes. Hope that helps and doesn't traumatise him too much
Iain has a large wart on the palm of his hand. Kinda of at the ball of his hand before it becomes your wrist KWIM?
Anyway it came about a couple of months ago. I asked the GP about it given its size as it grew very rapidly & she said leave it alone, he too young & it would be too traumatizing to freeze it off. I totally agree with her.
You see Iain is really sensitive to pain & has massive anxiety issues. He wont let me touch it, even holding his hand it a battle. Its not that its painful to touch but he is scared I will hurt it.
Anyway its becoming a problem. It always looks aggravated. Its on the palm of his hand so it obviously gets knocked around a bit.
Its gone from a neat dome shape to looking like the head of it has broke up & its not lots of little knobby bits (still with in the dome shape just lots of little sections). I noticed today it looked red around the wart, on his skin. But again I can't get a decent look at it as he is protective about it. Gets really upset if I hold his hand to look. So I have a look at it while he is asleep which I have just done again & it seems raised a little & I dunno kinda white under it. So I pulled on one of the taggy things & it came out. So I pulled on another one & it came out also but it clearly hurt as he whinced in his sleep & pulled his hand away. It also bled. Clearly I am leaving it alone now.
But any suggestions on how to get rid of this thing. My biggest problem is it really will traumatise him A LOT if the GP froze it. Iain is on the Autism Spectrum so it gets tricky.

freeze a banana skin and then put that on it with tape or bandage.
Change a few times a day.
Sounds odd but it works. i did it as a teenager.
hmm i have banana's in the freezer too....
Yeah wart off is painless, just takes a while for it to work and fall off and you need to keep a band aid on it. Or I think you can get little patches?
Hypnosis works, and is simple, and treats the actual cause. They won't come back.
Hypnosis? That's interesting. Please would you explain abit more?

Wart off stuff from the chemist works but it takes a week or 3
How does hypnosis work? It's a virus?
There was a post about hypnosis and warts some time back if you search the siteBesides removing the wart I would look into boosting the immune system to prevent further outbreaks - which is how the virus started in the first place.

Yeah it was a thread by me so if you a search posts started by me you'll find it
Sorry, I'm on my phone.
Yes, hypnosis works. Warts, as much as they - love the magical they - can tell, can be largely controlled by the mind. Simply by repeating affirmations and telling your body to get rid of them, they will go away. It is so simple and quite amazing. Basically, you are giving your immune system permission to get rid of them. There is no fiddling with the wart itself, so no way for you to spread it around to anywhere else and they simply shrink and vanish within weeks, sometimes days.
I did post in the other thread too I think. But yeah, they won't come back and it is totally noninvasive to do it.
Given he is three I think hypnosis isn't really a workable option
Sorry, you hadn't mentioned that.
I've heard of people buying warts from children. Its very mind over matter.

Yeah I think it still might work. I have had some and got rid of them just by thinking about them going away every day. They seriously started to go within days
The buying them idea sounds great. Or just tell him every day 'look at that wart, its getting smaller and smaller' or something.
LOL thats ok, I kinda just assumed every knows how old my kids are LOL. Yeah he is 3 & half. BUT What ever I did last night seems to have killed it :/.. Today it was black looking (I actually just thought it was dried blood) & after a bath & shower, its lifting off at one side.. I did tell him earlier today to tell it to go away, its yuk. So we have been telling it this afternoon "Go away Wart, you're yuk" lol
Oh that's good news. Sounds like it will be gone very soon.
