My almost 5 month old has a nasty cold with a wet cough- it sounds like there is mucous in her throat. Her nose is super runny but it's clear. We took her to the Dr on Monday and there was no sign of a chest infection. Since then though I noticed I can feel something under her ribs when she breathes and can sometimes hear it. It is not wheezing in the sense that her breathing is laboured but it sounds and feels like the mucousy stuff is sitting there. No temp (she sometimes feels a bit hot but her temp reads as normal, if not slightly lower), she's sleeping well, playing well but she does have cranky bouts a few times a day and is fussy feeding- still feeding 5-6 times in 24 hours though (BF).

Is this still the cold or something more? I know myself that I always suffer colds in this way, with gunk lurking below the surface but I'm not 5 months old.
