Haha, Aurora. Sad thing is, quite a few decades ago, it was all the rage to have a child''s tonsils removed pre-emptively.
I don't know, I grew up in a society where boys were left in tact. Ok, there was a small percentage of religious circumcision, but no routine ones. I have a brother, a father, cousins,... to my knowledge, there were no problems of urinary tract infection or any other "no-circumcision-related" issues. And from my experience an un-circumcised penis is neither uglier nor smellier than a circumcised one. All these things only seem to be an issue in societies that for whatever reason have a cultural history of circumcising their boys. To me, it all seems incredibly far fetched.
Aurora. while you're at it, why don't we remove the fingernails so they won''t have to clean underneath?
I'm not having a go at people who choose to circumcise. I don't think they are bad parents or anything. But I cannot say that I think it is a good decision to make and all the arguments I have heard in support of circumcision have so far failed to convince me. Far from it.
