meh, lost my "congrats Mel" post.

Well we're back from the docs. Pip has viral bronchitis, I have ventolin & cortisone to give him and if he's not improved by Saturday, we're to go back for a chest xray in case it turns bacterial. Great. And have been really looking forward to this weekend!!!!!

Can't remember if I posted this or not - anyone going to Trishs' lunch on Sunday want some Moogoo? I'm picking some up for us tomorrow - let me know Or if i can get some and post it anywhere.

WoHB - HH with bamboo insert. Cow Print

    (previous post from around 5pm!)

Mel - I have! You must have missed the post, they're wonderful!!!!!! thankyou oh so very much!!!! I know they look fairly easy to sew, but who has time to sew?

    woHB now - sposie (DH)

bronchitis is not fun, especially for kids. Poor thing. I practically grew up on ventolin & steroids (asthma). Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

mel (gudism) - how could you possibly need more nappies! Have you joined 'MCN addicts help group' yet?

How good is the hossy Im going to? At the last antenatal class they were talking about how they supply cloth for the time you're there, and I asked if they had any problems with me bringing MCN in, then they passed round an MCN pamphlet that they give to new parents, and have asked me to bring in a few different types at the next class so everyone can have a look & feel.

Knitted some baby leg warmers today but I think they may be a bit big coz I didnt have a pattern oh well just have to make some more

    hehehehehehe

Mel - a heap of Kissaluv nappies and covers.. woohoo! I was looking at them the other day on a nappy website and was going to buy one, but glad I held myself back now...

I used my first flat nappy today - got the folding pattern from the internet (gotta love google). Was very impressed that he peed in it, it didn't leak and Maz's cover didn't even feel wet!!! *mwah* good stuff there Maz. Using flats isn't as hard as I thought it was... god I feel like a hippy now... lol (hmm. or should I say hippo... )

LOL Gudism - we've got lots of flats, but as my boy has a skinny a$$ and chicken legs, they're just too bulky on him yet! Which means of course that I need to buy more MCN's! But when I try to use flats, I use the 'bat/butterfly/chinese fold'... look for it at the nappy lady site (not sure if I can give address here??)

Yay for some sunshine today - we actually got our nappies mostly dry. Just finished them off in the drier so we can be a cloth boy tomorrow! Was very impressed with how well the BBB washed out from the poo - can't even tell! The only stain was on the stitching on the insert and a little on the leg cuff of the cover - but I really had to look hard to find them (and the sun may well have got rid of those now!).

His wees have been really strong and yellow over the past few days but we think he's coming down with something as his eye is all gunky and he's a bit whingy (for him). Poor thing!

    WOHB - sposie (until tomorrow!)

Nettie, I have no idea what the fold was that I was following.... you like fold it in half, and then fold one corner over to the other one, turn it over and fold the top half in two halves so you get the pad bit in the middle.... dunno what that type is called.. but it fit him - I was impressed by that!!! He's pretty skinny though and has no butt or hips, so is probably the same size as one that is heaps younger...

Mel, that's the fold I use - it's great isn't it?? We're in flats here atm 'cause of the rain... every MCN I own 'cept 'the dodgey' ones are on the line!! Will have to bring 'em in in the morning & stick 'em on the clothes horse.

Great things about flats, let me counts the ways lol:
    They dry fast
You can use them for sick cloths, wash rags... anything really!
    They dry fast
You can use 'em under snazzy covers....
    They dry fast
    They work - shock horror
    They dry fast
    They're sooooooooooo cheap
    They dry fast
There is something undeniably cute about a huge white terry baby's butt
and, I don't think I mentioned... they dry fast?!
