FJ- i had the S BBH bamboo ones and i found them too long. But Lu was small.....

PP- Definately get some bamboo to boost cotton or flanel prefolds. My cotton and flanel prefolds were useless even for one wee. Bamboo was so much better.

Falguni - yes i have about 6 bamboo microfibre boosters that i can use inside the prefold, during the day for home use though for the first 2- 3 months i dont mind changing frequently
AJP - i have heard is it happy heinys are good? Or motherease. Actually happybabes have motherease for $20... is that cheap?
HOpe your little ones thumbnail clears up. OUr dr's appointment is in 1.5 hrs... trying to keep DD awake.. lol

ALi - sorry missed you b4. I completley hear you!!. I was only saying to DH last night that everyone else seems to be able to afford new cars, tv's, holiday, house renos on one wage and with me working casual again and DH wage... i swear we only just make ends meet. We get hardly anything from centrelink ($20 a week i think) but others who earn more get a hindsight more than us... i am totally baffled at how other families do it. We never go out, dont eat out, dont buy luxuries, and just cover our mortgage, food and bills. So i have no idea!!!

WOHB - still the 1st morning poo sposie... waiting waiting

    Morning all

Yes, still here, baby still in belly.... ho hum...

PP - Motherease usually sell for not that much more than that, but there is a store on ebay that sells them for about $17 - $18?? Which is where I got mine from. Although, to be perfectly honest, I don't particularly like mine, one good wizz from DS and its soaked and I have to change it straight away. I have about four or five I think, and they are at the back of the "fitted" nappy shelf, and I just use if I absolutely have to, or for the one after his bath but before his night nappy (if that makes sense).

Although, I like them more than my Bambineo (i think thats what they are) I got the large size and it is sooooo huge on him with the big gaping leg holes - anyone else find this? waist bit fits him fine, but OMG, one good pee, and its running down his legs (yup, had it this morning).

Ali - I know what you mean mate It is really hard sometimes, and you feel that you never get anywhere!!!!!! In my first marriage (with no kids though) we lived on a wage of $27,000 - I wasn't working as I was studying full time and my then DH earned $10 a week too much for me to get austudy - that was a tough couple of years. We aren't doing too bad (and new DH earns more than ex-DH) but I still have to go back to work when bubs is 12 weeks old, just so we can keep our house - which doesn't have a HUGE mortgage on it (considering what the average house cost is now) so I defnitely know where you are coming from. Hope you get your tax soon..

Gigi - I know where you are getting confused - too many Mel's in this thread. You are confusing me with Melham - she isn't having a baby ... yet.. hehe... isn't that right Mel? I'm the one still hanging on to my placenta... lol.....

    Hi to everyone else

yay! Got my tax return this morning so paid my itti bitti layby off Requested it sent registered post. Given AP likes to eat my fluffy mail!

Suse you nappy is finiahed & will be in the mail today. Hope it fits well. I tried it on Isla & its a lovelly fit.

Beatrix, I may just be in the area of shops with pink/purple fleece today. HEHEHEHE I can't help myself but to have a look.

Isla is still asleep, so is Glenn! Once I am ready (dressed, load of washing on etc I will start being noisy to wake them up so I can go down the hill.

I have a confession to make.... Isla has been wearing sposies to bed. I figure I might as well use that pack I bought the other week when I forgot the nappy bag & her night nappies of late STINKS by morning. I think I need to do another strip wash, problem is I don't have hot water at my washing machine & the last time I did it by filling it bucket by bucket it didn't seem to do the trick. Hence my nappies still stink LOL. Might ask mum is she has hot water on her machine & take them to her place.

Ali & PP (probably everyone really), we also live week to week. We manage & all our bills are paid on time, but pretty much our entire tax goes to paying hte credit card off. Which slowly creeps up to its 4 k limit over the year....

Ali, living tight is tough sometimes hey. It's taken us a while to get the balance right. With food, can you ration food? Like, if you buy a packet of something, put some in a bag marked DH, some in a bag marked Kids, and some in a bag marked MUM'S FOOD DO NOT TOUCH ON PAIN OF DEATH IF I DIE OF MALNUTRITION WHO WILL DO YOUR WASHING THEN HMM? We ration our treats like chocolate, we get a tupperware container each. :P

Jols, I love my Tots Bots for one size fitteds. I have Cottons (cheaper and I boost them with hemp/bamboo) and Bamboozles (only boost them for Riv). Okay, so the size 2's are not strictly 'one size', but I find they're similar to BBH, they'll start to fit a newborn decently at around 1-2 months. Can't beat size 1 bamboozles for trimness though, and they still fit Si at 3.5 months. He's small though (well, according to the MCHN ).

Hey Gudi, with the Bambineo, if the leg gapes too much, have you folded the front down and snappi'd it for a better fit? And all the best for a wonderful, just right length, as comfortable and peaceful as can be labour, when it happens, and it will. I've never heard of anyone being pregnant forever.

Better go, I can hear 'We do not recognise the feature code you have dialed' coming from the home phone speakerphone (3 guesses who just handed me the home phone - apparently *#*7777778888888557777788**###33 isn't a number! Who would have thought?).

    hi girls!
I am so jealous of all this fluffy mail! lol

I took DD to another GP today for a 2nd opinion. She agreed with me that she doubts it is a dairy allergy and thinks the mouth and eyes are actually 2 different causes. (as the zyrtec worked onthe eyes and not the mouth).

So Ashley is back with having dairy (keeping on formula though for a few months... till i can express with #2 then will give her EBM.. sorry if that groses anyone out lol).

I am applying parrafin barrier to chin and mouth to see if it helps clear up - ie thinking it is a moisture/drool rash and exaberated by the dummy overnight.

And have a referral to a dematologist... at the wesley... trying to see if i can find out i cann sweet talk at the mater though lol.... into bulk billing... whats my chances!! hehe

So we have a start - i know it is a complete 360 in diagnosis but i am more confortable with these theories as they reflect a little closer to how i feel in my heart.

On MCN topics..... I had a BBH on DD this morning and PUL and it soaked through to the PUL in 2 hrs! the bamboos never do... does anyone else find this..

    WOHB - Sposie... lol lazy
