Was it you Ren asking about hte TB's?
I have the fluffle's, and TBH I am really not very impressed with them - they are slim fitting which I love, cos Charlotte is skinny as, but I find I cannot boost them properly (size 1) without them leaking or something....they really don't last long at all. I usually only use then when I know she is getting changed again soon - ie between the bath and bed time, the little bit of time between getting her dressed and going out..
Having said that, I got them when she was a bout 3 months old and they are still in really good nick, so they last ok, just not impressed with the absorbancy factor.
Using hindsight, I prolly should have bought the bamboo ones or something for the extra absorbancy

Well I've been doing a bit more research and reading all your advice I think I have a bit more of an idea of what to buy.

Just really depends on what works best on bubs.

Shame I don't have the $$ to buy anything right now, or a baby to try them on yet.
I can't believe I am getting so excited over the prospect of a nappy lol.
    It really is quite catchy!!

Laura - yes. yes it is addictive. I'm doing well managing my addiction. I haven't brought anything for at least a few weeks now. (all my recent fluffy mail was ordered and paid for ages ago.)

And I'm still waiting on a baby to try FJ's nappy on cos it looks so noice...

Alexis - mine aren't really absorbent either. I do the same as you.

Nelle - stil lhave to learn to knit.
The wetnesss through hadnt been a problem until the last few sleeps. Going to try with a large cover and hoping for success. Would hate to think i just bough 24 BBB and cant use them at night!

I was given a Eenie Designs cover the other day and i really like it! DD has it on now.. it has little gussetts and is waterproof... never seen them before... will be good with prefold i think!

Find out in 1 hours if DH got the job he applied for,,,, arrrrhhhhh the clock ticks so slowly!

Also Ren, if you are checking out fitteds, Cute Tooshies are the bomb. I am favouring them over all my other fitteds atm - both for absorbency and for fit (and for yummy bamboo velour softness). Euan suits a side closing nappy much better than a front closing (with the exception of bumGs) - until your bub arrives you won't know if a particular nappy style suits them better. Many bubs are pretty versatile, but some nappies are cut to suit certain body shapes better. In general, a side closing nappy is more flexible, especially with snaps, because the legs can be adjusted independently of the waist.

I did the same as you - I bought my initial stash of nappies pre-bubs, I ummed and ahhed over whether to wait. I bought 12 BumGs and 12 TotsBots. For the most part I made my choices well, but I am finding that the Tots Bots are not fitting Euan as well now. They were great when he was a newborn, but not so much now. I can make them work, but not as well as a side closing nappy.

You'll probably find that once your bub has arrived you might want to splash out on some showoff nappies, and once they are a little older and wetting heavier / sleeping through, you'll probably want to invest in some night nappies, like Nelle said. Your peapods will be your workhorse nappies, but once you get an idea of how they work, they'll become a good starting point for a few more nappies here and there.

Ness - hope MJ is OK hon?

Mel (Gudism) - how many nappies have you bought today?

Nelle - how's your naughty little climber? Still swinging from the chandeliers?

Gigi - I've just picked myself up off the floor after your one line post.

LS - Darn, I think I kept a whole bunch of those little clear plasticy things with zippers () that the BumGs come in, but do you think I know where they are? I'll be doing a spring clean sometime soon, if they turn up I'll give you a shout.

Um, any tips for getting panadol wee stains out of nappies? We had a 'day' yesterday and it was a choice between stained nappies or baby screaming all day.

WOHB: BumG. Just for a change.

I may have missed this being mentioned already but I wa slooking earlier & they have the Magicalls on clearence, they are the newer version & come with the bamboo booster thingy. Only difference is they are fleece lined not suedecloth & the velcro closur is the old stuff not the new stuff they are using. $18 each.

    hi girls
WEll last night was a night mare.

DD had a BBB + 14 layers on bamboo and a wool cover on to bed.
After 4 hrs woke totally soaked from her groin to her chest!

So very over it. Melham is bringing me over a large wool cover so am hoping that might stop the leaks like Gigi suggested . At the moment the top of the BBB is exposed as the BB wool doesnt reach over the top of the nappy.

Sucks as spent so much $$ on BBB and they worked for a little while and now she is having these massive wees, Do the disana's make any difference? ie the way they are designed?

So she is in sposies now. and wouldnt go to sleep until 1am.... so hoping she will sleep in as i am butchered (but of course cant sleep in myself)

    WOHB - sposie
And there you have the problem PP. That would be causing wicking from the nappy to her clothing and would be the cause of the leak. If you're unfamiliar with the term wicking it means that moisture is being transferred from wet fabric to dry from touch. ie wet nappy to dry pj's and then bedclothes. No amount of layers will prevent that so a bigger cover is what you need.

Nelle the crotch is quite easy believe it or not. It's the short rows that I have problems with. More than happy to show you what I know though

Gigi blow me down I'm in shock

noni I like BP's Good move on getting the extra booster too. You'll be glad you did.

Renstar I like peapods but have others I prefer to them IYKWIM. They have their place in my stash as they are quick drying but we have to boost them more because my inserts are the older hemp ones.
They'd still mark if you let your little one play outside with no pants over them though so be wary of that.

    Maz cow print minkee. MMMMMmmmmmmOOOOooooOOOOO!
    Haven't seen any about sorry

WOHB CK Aurial (I gotta get more of those!)

I did however just get a pair of Llamajama longies from Booroi Essentials. Very nice. Nice high rise too.

yeah I figured the BBH's had been mentioned before I just didn't remember if it had or not & thought it might have been missed.

yeah yeah I was on the their site. I like the cheeta that thread art has (who also have anormal site, did you know? off ebay? with heaps more instock then whats on ebay). Minky delight hasn't the same cheeta print.

    thread art is cheaper also.
