Pink - i am confused - you ask questions about MCN, i do my best to answer them (if i have ideas on those topics, then you post the same or similar question the next day. Not sure if you don't understand my answers or if you don't see my replies. I'm unsure.

for example, your questions today, i answered yesterday (cos you asked them also in last few days. My reply to your questions yesterday is found in this post
    https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...7-post232.html
(it's a few pages back, so to save you searching for it, i've just put a link (hope this is allowed mods - i have gotten in trouble before for posting links).

I gave you places to look for photos to help you choose woolly stuff, websites that educate you on how to use wool for nights, all kinds of stuff, how to measure the rise, etc.

If my answers are gobblygook to you, just say, and i will try and re-express them in a different way. I'm sure i use way too much MCN jargon! remind me to un-jargon if i type out stuff that is clear as mud to you ok, cos i don't INTENTIONALLY try and confuse you. (if that's what it all boils down to).

Oh, i am so tired, i read that as if you were EATING a delicious chocolate LOL!!!

how many days are you "over" now Mel?

I now leave the night longies "too long" on purpose (i used to hem them all up) cos i figure, the extra length just keeps bilby's feet warmer.

i use her biggest, longest longies for night (to totally cover the bulkier night nappies) and use the smaller, shorter in the leg longies for the day (over the less bulky day fitteds).

NESSA - i use a very old overlocker from the 1960's!!!! I am such a dunce, my technically minded dh reads the manual and does the threading for me - it is beyond me - otherwise i'd help you out in a heartbeat! My best MCN sewing has been done when i had access to BOTH a sewing machine and an overlocker SIMULUTANEOUSLY.

I think it is possible to do it all (well, get it done) with only a sewing machine, but for some bits, you don't get the neat finishing off you get with the overlocker. If you sew inside out (turn and topstitch i think is the Sewing Jargon for that), i suppose it doesn't really matter, cos no-one will see when you're done. but being a obsessive compulsive type person, things like that bug me. Prolly has lots to do with me being a wonky cutter outerer, i love how the overlocker neatens up my wonky cutting out!!

the WHY WOOL link on the Nappycino site covers these topics:

Why do people see wool as a wonder fibre when it comes to cloth nappying?
So how does it work as a cover?
    So what is lanolin?
What kind of wool works best?
    Night time
    Recommendations for night time wool
So how hard is to care for wool?
    Where do I start?

    Really helpful article to read.

PP i am sure the coloured wool covers are smaller or my natural one that was secondhand has to have been stretched, reason being my new blue wool cover doesnt cover the top of the nappy but my natural one more than covers it, I am going to order another natural one just to see if there is a size difference.

Cooper is really sick today and am just deciding whether to take him up to the hospital, he has a really bad cough, runny nose and getting fevers that are giving him the shakes, he had nurofen about 7 and that hasnt worked so have just given him panadol, will give another hour and see how he goes, he is still drinking and having wet nappies though.

    WOHB.....bbh and wool cover

Sorry to hear the little man isnt well!! No good Take him in to the hospital, if he is having trouble breathing (or you say he is) they will see you straight away so you wont have to wait for hours....at least then you can rest assured either way hope is better soon

    Poor Cooper
If you cant cool him down, and keep the nurofen and panadol up to stop the high temp (and shakes), then i would get him seen. Try cool clothing and tepid washers .
I hope he gets better... perhaps that Spew yesterday was the start of something

Its ok. I have read that you can use conditioner (like your hair conditioner) to soak wol covers in and then stretch them.... i might give this a go if tonight's practice run doesnt work.

I have also orderd a llamajama longies from DDU. so hoping they might help. I talked DH into it after my hormonal preggy soak the other night

    WOHB - BBB +Wool cover

    p.s thanks Limeslice :hugs:
