AJ- That church has the longest isle in either Melb region or Vic,(can't remember the details?!) so it is pretty sought after by brides wanting to do a 'big' walk! Adds to the expense being so popular i am sure. I know a girl from Redhill, that got married there just for that reason! lmao. :rolleyes: Well i am sure the fact that it is a spectacular church adds to it as well.

well it has been a long day as DD and i are still both sick :(
On the up side I have been able to finish part 2 of my wool soaker.
I think i did quite well for my first EVER attmept of knitting (lucky mum was here today to teach me to cast off lol). Those of you who know how hard it was for me to learn how to do a stupid k2p1!!! rarararararar!!! will appreciate that i actualy finally finished.
I want to sew on some little frills around the leg holes now as my next experiement !

Oh and we are back in cloth, Charlotte is feeling much better, even though my boobs are exploding again now - I actually LEAKED after my shower today!! - that hasnt happened for a few months! But she has eaten solid food for the first time in 4 days today (yay) so my boobs can get some rest again lol

MAZ - thought you'd like to know, bilby has not been a bub for choosing which nappy she would like to wear next, but of late (the last two days) she has been pointing and making noises towards your Mac computer apple cover, and will even TANTRUM if we don't then put that one on her! So young bilby is coming into "her style" at long last!
she's been into the tactileness of MCN for quite a while, wanting to have the minky or bamboo velour rubbed on her cheek, giggling about that, BEFORE said nappy goes on her bot, but never before, fussy about the colour, picture, anythign like that, of the MCN.

WOTBB: Sugarpeas fleece cover with a Lotus night nappy insert snapped into it, baby legwarmers and knitted booties, under cotton loose sleeping bag.
i think she's on the mend, back to weeing for the Olympics, so i can stop worrying about dehydration - yeh!

The difference is, i'm assuming you're using flannelette flats.:
Contours or foldups made out of bamboo fleece, will absorb much more than cotton flannelette. SO it's not the size of the thing, it's the absorbency level of the different fabric, that makes the difference. IYKWIM.

Just a quick pop in... was impressed with Bubblebubs last night - think she slept for 3 hours (could have been 4) by the time I got to change it... was close to leaking up the back but it was contained.. woohoo!!!!
Thats a thing I have to get used to as well. DS is a tummy sleeper and a boy so the pee goes in a totally different direction than a girl sleeping on her back!!!!!! Never had to worry about pee seeping up the back of his clothes!!!!
Might try a flat today on her today ;)

I went to the ekka yesterday and was so tired last night ans just put a BBH AIO on Cooper with an extral booster in and it lasted all night did better than the fitted with wool cover so am going to try that for the next couple of nights.

laurab - WOHB = What's On His/Her Bum. Some people with more than one kiddlet change the 'H' to represent their child's initial (hence WOLB would be What's On Liam's Bum)...

Oooh - I forgot to mention that I dug out my wool supplies last night so now I'm ready to give some knitting/crocheting a go!
Just give me some time to figure out the instructions and I'll give it a bash! I only have one set of knitting needles though so I hope they're the right size! ;)

Last night after Maddi's midnight feed, DF decided he'd change her nappy so I could go back to sleep coz she was wide awake. It was the first time he has ever changed a nappy & it was only a sposie, coz all the cloth is in the washing machine. And she wee'd all over herself, him, her clothes and the change table. So I had to get up and help clean it up & show him how to put on a nappy :cryinglaugh:

bilby had a nappy this morning, that was like volcanic lava, enough poo for about FOUR really bad nappies - poor love had not used her bowels for days (very unlike here) and it really scared her to have all this stuff come out at once. Dh and i were standing with her at teh change table, thinking, how can so much come out of one baby! her tummy is not THAT big!!! surely! it was all so sticky, bright light yellow and quite pungent. poor bilbs. But she has been acting the LEAST ill, the last day - e.g laughing and playing a bit. The GP we saw on Friday was so disinterested, made me feel like a silly mum who shouldn't have bothered the doc - but i don't know what is normal for a 20 month old!!!
We had SNOW earlier. Not much & not enough to make the ground white but it was snow!It was raining at the time with flakes fluttering down with it. Melted as soon as it hit the ground though. Now its sunny lol go figure!

So I've got a flat on M's bum... but its so bulky!!!! And doesn't look right....I think I screwed it up. She pooed in her IB before - alas! Not the perfect child as once was thought....

Aaargh, I keep succumbing to sposies.......just too sick to be bothered washing, and it really is piling up :( ALL of it. So the nappies come last this weekend I'm afraid. Mind you, I then feel bad, so I put another cloth on him, only to feel so totally crap at the next nappy change I don't care again LOL!

ETA, Mel, are you using flannies or TTs? I personally think tts are waaaay too bulky for nbs, flannies are much better.

Oh I started a new set of longies, or they may be a soaker to which I will attach a skirt. Not sure yet, will decide when I get to that point of no return LOL.

Yep, I suspected! I DEFINITELY recommend getting a pack of flanny flats to use while Mehkelti is still small. They are heaps less bulky, and much easier to fold neatly on a nb LOL. You can always use them as extra spit rags once you don't use them on her bum ;) I didn't even bother with a pin, just folded it over his tummy and put a snib or motherease cover on! Never had a drama :)

Ummm, I got mine from Baby Bunting I think. I've seen a few people on BB complain that they're hard to find though, so I'm more than happy to post some up to you so you can see if you like them :) Would love to repay the favour!
bought the flannelette from spotlight and sewd my own flats up the material is something like $2.50 p/m

Janie I know all about that! My bucket overfloweth. I can't keep up with it all ATM even when its sunny it's still too cold for stuff to dry outside.
Just got back from a trip to bunnings where I got another clothes horse. Figure it's cheaper in the long run than using the dryer almost every day.
sam i know its too late but we got a three tire one from kmart i think it had 22 mnetres of drying space, its awesome!!!! highly recommend it~!~

Gudism - What sort of fold are you using? It sounds like I am the only one that used TT from the start & DIDN'T have an issue with the bulk - mind you, Punky was born when it was HOT (although, it's not too cold where you are is it...??) & I didn't have to put too much over her big TT butt.
