Well i have finished my soaker!!!
Kinda made the leg holes a little small but 1st time im pretty proud
so i know there is a nanna knitting section but im still going to brag and post th elink to the pic here to :p

Gigi - thats what I thought!! But it was listed by NappyChappies directly, they mentioned that tehy are rare adn she is going to list some over the next few months...When I get it and use it ill let you know how it goes!
It is a large though so Im not sure how well it will fit this soon...she is a skinn ylittle chicken! ! lol so I may just sell it on if it doesnt fit properly

Well DD is much better today :) asleep now adn hoping she wil slepp through again tonight, if so, I know she is on the mend...If not, DF wont get much sleep cos she will be in the bed with us! lol

The Lovely Cookiemonster has got me hooked on cloth after lending me a couple of hers.
I just received my first Fluffy mail yesterday!! 2 Bubblebubs, 2 Cushie Tushies and 2 Bum Genius. Though I should Test them before I go buying all of the one brand.
What is everyone suggestions for night nappies? I haven't been game to try one at night yet.
I think I'm going to order some more today but I don't know what to try next!:)

Laura, your bub is only a day younger than mine! I'm not using night nappies on Si yet, he sleeps through, but doesn't wee that much, I just make sure it's one of my more absorbent nappies (anything Bamboo or hemp really, like Baby BeeHinds or Tots Bots Bamboozles).

Lime, heard good things about Simply Nights nappies I think, and I'm guessing a basic bamboo might be one without...microfibre? Do the standard ones have microfibre? Anyway, moral of my story is that I haven't heard any bad reviews as far as I can remember, and I think they've been around for awhile.
PP, like anything, sun for stains...I'm hanging for summer, a newborn in winter hasn't been kind to my nappies! :P

Gigi - I've only got flanny flats & terry flats and the terry flats are fairly bulky but, Im relenting & using them in the meantime now, even though I dont like them. All the fitteds & AIO's are too big for her still. Got no idea what contours or foldups are so Im guessing I dont have them LOL
Went for our first walk today to the supermarket & back via the lake. which was all good untill DD decided it was time for a feed half way round the lake. I am so not coordinated enough to BF in public LOL I ended up having to feed her again as soon as we got home.
Also had our first pooplosion from a flat today, all over a BBH wool cover! But it didnt get on her clothes so Im happy

We were in flats for what seemed like AGES too. Lu was a little 'un as well. (2.6kg) But the time will come soon enough when you can use those MCN! ;) Until then, i hope you have some good covers! Oh, and have you checked out the different folds for girls on that nappy lady site? I found folding differently gave a slightly less bulky fit.

Fluffly Mail.......I finally received my nappy that was short from a previous order and she sent me another Free, so 2 cute tooshies, a white Bumgenuies I won on B$B for $5 and a pookey fleece pocket and bob the builder pul cover she says they are med but no way will fit Cooper. Got a email confirmation that my BBH and Itti Bittis are on there way too :D
I sent Cooper to kindy in cloth today and his group leader is pregnant has been talking to me about his nappies for a while now she has decided to go MCN to...have given her my BBH info book and she wants a list of what and what not to buy, told her will ask you lovely ladies but I did tell her what works for some wont for others and to try a few different brands and get a LS. If I fall pregnant again will be first thing on my list, dont have one now as Coopers poo's all roll off.

Beat you, I can say I got fluffy mail today, well got it out of the mail box and had to give it away!!! What is the best Ai1 with velcro . Want to keep some at my place but am not a real fan of snaps. Also is there a cover that does all sizes.
I would suggest the BumGenius nappies for all in one with velcro and fits most. Jovie started with them & is still in them. I'm not sure about covers... I have one had sized covers.
i think the wonderwrap is addustable but it will have snaps!!

i got my 2 itti bitti's (seconds) that i ordered the other day and the 2 green bums i was waiting on. I am totally in love with the ittis, they are sooooo lush!! will have to invest in afew more of them

Us... well life is crazy when you work more. Jovie has been saying when she's doing her wee's & poo's but I'm not ready for TT!!! Ah well... I might go and get a potty, because with Matilda I put off TT because I was pregnant with Jovie and I think I missed a good time... because it took ages to TT and she was over 3. With Jovie I don't want to miss the timing.... scary.
Alas... I haven't had fluffy mail in so long.... I almost did but my non existent brain didn't read it well enough, thank God Maz has a big heart :mwa:

We have...... A TOOTH!!! & by a tooth, I mean, just pierced the the gum tiny little bit of toothie poking out that is barely visible but nice and sharp on the fingers :cryinglaugh:. When do you say the 'first tooth' is from anyway? My mum tells me they take ages to come through, so is it now when it has cut through the gum, or is it when it's an actual little toothie peg?
Bought a few MD's from the BeyondBelly sale. They are smalls though :redface:. Nothing wrong with being prepared :rofl:, they should still fit Alexander at the moment anyway. They are also on laybuy. Ooooh and my WeeWuns laybuy should come next week... mmmm Blueberry Minkees... can't wait.

Ash - I always say if you can feel it poking through and see that first little crack of white - thats when the tooth broke through...congrats on that!! woohoo for first tooth!!!
I must admit how much I'm loving my little girl right now - she's perfect - had her in her first cloth nappy (gorgeous lime d'lish) and went to change her - she had pooed, but the poo had stuck to her butt crack - and NOT IN THE NAPPY. This child is simply perfect ;)
We got a pic of her in her first cloth too... so will have to upload it for everyone to have a gander (not a great pic cos she's like.. crying.. but ya know.. )

Nappy related: Just been trying to 'shop' for some more blueberries - I just love the one I've got. It seems no-one has them available at the moment (want snaps, not aplix) which is very sad. I think I'll wait until next week when I'll weigh DS again before I buy any more nappies. :( Think he's put on a bit of weight and is starting to stretch some clothes/covers...
Maz - want to see about buying some covers from you but be blowed if I can figure out the WAHM site! Keen on the liquorice alsorts too but will wait until release date for those! ;)
Beatrix - I can't pick the flaws with my IBs either, was looking for them last night :dunno: I've washed them so will give them a go tomorrow...hope they fit him well!

Janie and Nelle, i know you both like the Motherease covers, did you know that there is a Motherease AIO? i just saw it at the baby blossom site.
Cookie - planning a wedding sounds so exciting, although it prolly is ALOT of hard work really, pity the church costs so much, but sounds like you have a strong connection to it - so that's nice you will get married in the one you really like.
SKITTLES - that's great your baby beehinds cover caught all the runny poo today. I could not get flats to work for us for love nor money so i take my hat off to you hon.
If you want to see what contours look like, nurture nappies sell the baby greens ones, and darlings downunder sell the kissaluvs contours. i would post the links for you if allowed.
Foldups are just two layers of bamboo fleece, 30 x 30cm, sewn together. i got mine from baby beehinds back then. You fold it into three, like a pad, put that inside a cover with leg gussets, and lay a microfleece liner ontop - that is the entire thing. very simple. very trim and very thirsty. do you sew?
(Covers with leg gussets are designed to be used with prefolds, foldups, trifolds, contours etc.)
