PP using hair peroxide in pregnancy is supposidly NOT agood thing.. they seem to think that bleaching/dyeing hair, the chemicals can seep in through your scalp they reccommend foils etc more because they are not directly in contact with your scalp.

DS is sick with a cold at the moment (as am I!) so I guess I'm in the 'sicky' boat with most of the rest of you!
I've been giving him panadol on and off and I know that it's supposed to make their wee nuclear and bad for the MCN but I haven't really noticed anything - what's it supposed to do again?? Apart from smelling more, there's no other difference that I can see....
I'll be stalking the posty today waiting for fluffy mail...
WOHB - Happy Heiny pocket
WOO HHOOOOO - have a LS so now I cant paint the loo walls with pooh too!!!! yeah for maz!!!!!!
just bought 2 more IB's of Buyforbaby and have another 3 being sent to me that need the elastic fixed in them. Oh and the one from IB its self.
and for those I have sent pm's to....could you pm me back ASAP...need to know..you know things to make and do IFYKWIM![]()
Nettie - the general wisdom is that giving your baby panadol, results in gray stains on teh MCN inner (or liner). This has not happened to us, and baby panadol is used on bilbs, so we must be "unique" ha ha.
Snoozywuns product specs don't say a hidden layer of PUL Saram, but they do specify MM Fleece outer, so that's why i read it, plus the label "AI2" and thought, this is a stand alone product. But longies for extra waterproof protection and warmth as pj bottoms, i can understand.
maybe widdlewuns make fitteds as well? must go back and re-read that stuff - some time when bilbs is not crying - like right now -
i just changed a nappy where the contents were pastey and lumpy (hope no-one is eating lunch right now) and it was in the fitted nappy, up the jumper (small of back) but NOTHING on the longies! weird that it skipped the longies. I thought only really RUNNY contents would go up the back? must be bilby's "uniqueness" again. oh well, she is unwell.
my $30 maternity bra just arrived from Mother's Direct (ABA shop), $10 off atm (Lovable cotton). first time i've ever ordered lingerie over the net. hope i chose the right size!!!
i woke up with no voice, so we are Colds Central here. Why does it have to be THIS week!!!!
mwah everybodee!
only got one lot of fluffy mail today... my IB rockmelon medium....
am down in the dumps today.. OBS not happy with my BSL levels and have to now go to OBS weekly....Bub is a decent size already.. hope he doesn't get too BIG...
We have our 4D U/S in about 1/2 hr.. so am excited about that...
PP NO shiny mail today![]()
oooh yay for your U/s!
Boo for no shiny mail!
i never get fluffy mail on a monday EVER.. .it is always tuesday for some reason
Hi All,
Well just after I wrote a few days ago to say I was back in the ranks - I came down with this shocking cold that seems to have grabbed everyone at once! I spent a good portion of Friday through until Sunday in bed (thank goodness my husband was home and could look after DS). Today we skipped Mother's Group and although I was feeling good this morning I'm starting to feel wretched again now. I did spend the afternoon cooking so I pretty much don't have to cook for the rest of the week - or at least until about Friday.
I'm just completely OVER germs and diseases - we have been battling stuff for about 8-10 weeks now!
DS is trying to help me type so I need to log off...
WOHB: FJ's wonderful MM fleece pocket stuffed with hemp I think (can't remember now)
for anyone wondering about the Snoozywuns, here's my detective work, ye olde cut n paste from the widdlewuns store on ozebaby, from a snoozywuns listing:
"Snoozywuns are made up of a Malden Mills Windpro Outer and Sherpa (85% Cotton 15% Polyester) innner. We have chosen Sherpa as our inners as we wanted a Natural fibre next to your bubs delicate skin for those long periods of time that bubs is asleep ;o) Snoozywuns have been tested on even the heaviest of wetters for up to 14hrs with NO leaks including compression leaks. They are also super fast to dry as they are the same styling as our regular nappies....being an AI2 so they all pull apart ;o) They have also been designed to be much trimmer than the usual styles of Night NappiesSnoozywuns contain 13 layers of Bamboo Fleece and do not need a seperate cover. They also contain no PUL so have fabtastic breathability and a lovely stretchiness about them.")
WOTBB: Poochies fitted nappy with aqua/purple longies - gee i will be sad when she grows out of those.
Nessa - picked up the fixed overlocker this afternoon, hoping we will be well enough for tomorrow's sewing day.
MAZ - i can barely remember sending you a mama pad (only half awake), was that the post partnum/night one with butterflies on it? if so, i had that made (by Noonee Wilga at the clothpadshop website) cos i knew you liked butterflies. i figure in the midst of everyone sending teddybears and nb clothes when you're expecting, it would be nice for the MUMMA to get something for herself.
since we're "sharing" : my AF returned four months after having bilby. bet you all really wanted to know that! LOL.

Wow Gigi! My AF returned.... after Jovie was 18 months!!!! But she's returned with a vengence & atm is coming every 14 days. Thats right every 14 days!!!
Ok AF related!! Mines still not here!! yay
Oh and got some fabo news regarding the fabric.. I got agift cert worth $15 to make up for it.. and i was going to order some snaps soon as well!!
ok latre night but GIGI my house is clean!!
Great Scott Christy! every 14 days! that is SAVAGE!
14 days! Are you having to take iron supplements or something? My body would be very irate at that.
5 months and no AF here, think it came 7 months after Riv, but felt some twinges lately that could mean something's up soon...who knows really.
I still haven't got off my butt and ordered my Ittis...I'm so slack.
morning ladies....
all good here, slowly getting my way through bubs clothes and washing them, thing is though.. i DON'T for the life of me want to wash the nappies....strange i know...
question... do i need to wash the BBH PUL covers a certain amount of times prior to use??
Nelle my body doesn't absorb iron so I'm already on 3 times the normal supplements for it (after giving birth my body decided food wasn't good enough for me). Before I was on the supplements I could barely stand up when AF came, and if I forget to take them I'm a lump.... a lovely lady lump.
ETA: better say something nappy related ROFL..... its been beautiful nappy drying weather up here in wonderland. I'd better do another load. I've gotta start thinking about day care soon. I'll have to do some swaps of BBB with AIO's soon. When we move to Sydney she'll be in day care 3 days a week rather than two, and I can only just keep up with keeping her in her pockets now. LMAO.... Otherwise I'll have to teach the staff how to deal with BBB + cover.... but that may be a good thing too because they last longer. Hmmmmm..... maybe she'll TT.
WOHB: BBB & Shannon soaker
