Yeah, we are back in cloth today!!!! The horrible poops have stopped (touch wood)

Nettie - well... yes we do have quite a few boxes of cr@p. Apparently it's my job to go through them and sort them out after he has dumped everything in there. it really ruins the whole layering system. You know how you know you put it down on top of this and then that was from the week after so it will be under that :-)

Kaz - Obsidian makes some really nice ones and clothique are nice too. Have you been to the cloth pad shop? Our daycare put ari's nappy in plastic bags too... but I keep forgetting to take our laundry bag new weeks resolution is to remember that for next week :-) hmm I never noticed the lack of cobwebs due to geckos - I'm too busy complaining about the amount of gecko poo all over my walls!!!! I would love a cleaning assistant but I'm too embarassed to let someone else clean, I'd have to clean before the cleaner came :-)

Maz - the collage sounds great!

tra la laaaaaaaa heeheh Sarah I have it so she comes the week alternate to my RDO. And all I'll be doing is tidying before she comes, the first time she might stay a while longer to "sort it out". I just told her I'm not coping! And she said "I know how it is with babies, we'll sort it out together" which is just what you want when you don't have family nearby.

Thanks ladies, will check them out! Hoping they'll have a restock for the GDUNH.

Of course, he didn't poo in the prepared Zappy but instead waited until he was in his gorgeous Widdlewun when we were out and he was in my meitai ... thank goodness widdlewuns are brilliant! Have to be my fave!

    Hey lovelies!

Gigi, that is so nice about the footage of you & Bilby, I too hope you get to keep a copy!

I registered for the hunt last week - my very first one, how exciting!! All this talk about brands of mamapads had me looking at sites just now but they'll be in the hunt too so I'll wait until tomorrow lol.

My knitting is coming along - have moved from bibs to slippers... well, slipper, I finished one tonight & was wearing it while I started the other one... had one cold foot though... Have been looking at soaker patterns but they all still seem a bit too, uh, what is that word for when you attempts something you can't do... damnit I can't think of it....

*hugs* to Gudism, I bow down to all you lovelies with more than one munchkin, I remember what the Punk was like in her first 3 months & freak out about ever having to do that again, but next time with toddler/child in tow.... no time soon I can tell you!

Nelle, congrats on the empty laundry, gee I wish I had me one of those!! There isn't enough room on the line for all the stuff that needs washing here!!

A'ight, off to bed for me, I've nappy hunting to do tomorrow!! (sshhhh... be vury vury twuiet, I'm hunting nappies....)

Thanks girls, it has been a full on week!!

I think we will use sposies till I am organised up there but we will see how we go. We dont have long!!! I doubt I will be in SA long enough for a meet before we go, but I will keep you up to date.

The great thing about moving to Townsville is that our nappies should arrive quicker!! as they come for QLD

Sarah, we will have to meet up. We are trying to work out exactly where the base is now.

hehehe Skittle, I'm the same with my laundry. Pip's running out of clean clothes, but has plenty of nappies! With me its more the folding than anything else, I used to do it on my bed cause it was nice and tall (hip height) but we've bought a new king size which is really really low for me (prolly "normal" height!) and I can't fold on that. Each time I clean off the dining table to fold on, DH puts stuff all over it ...

Willl do a nappy count this arvie Need to know before buying anything at the GDUNH

Got my fluffy mail on Saturday, 2 wetbags finally!!!! and the bad news is I changed Pip in the back of the car (on he parcel shelf of the tourer, which is I guess a hatchback) and left a very pooey nappy in the bag in the sun. Doh. Least its nece and sunny today, so the car will air out.

Ali, woohooo on the move! Lots of nice sun up there to dry nappies quickly!! And aren't there some real-life nappy shops in Townsville?

QM - have you used mamapads? I have only one and I LOVE it! So nice and soft and comfy.

    Anyhows .... a huntin' I will go ... a huntin' I will go .. hey ho a diddly oh, a huntin' I will go

Oh why oh why did IB have to email me about their sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 fitteds jumped into my cart 'oh:

Oh the collage thing...it will be of pics Ive taken which reminds me will pull finger out and get on to it this week (inbetween everything else)

i have to put some things on Buyforbaby too...very sad isnt it...

hey whats everyone bringing to this sew up on the 13th?????? Im thinking of making my German potatoe salad again, seeing it went down so well at the last meet up.

Doesnt look like I can make the baby expo meet up now Im so peeved. Jed's boss is having a back op the end of the month and HAS to have 4 weeks of work..that includes saturdays - Jed is sort of next in charge in the office so he has to work those saturdays aswell and there is no way I am taking 4 kids to the expo. Im so about it cause I really wanted to meet sue from IB (and of course buy up hehehe) but I jsut cant do it.

of to hang up some nappies

Yay Nell on having a clean laundry...yuo got me inspired and I can finally find my sink again

Thanks for the YAY's about my laundry! Unfortunately I need to KEEP working to KEEP it clean. How stupid. We should just have to wash clothes once and then the job is done.

Kaz, my sweet, you need to pop into the Melb meetup thread and rsvp, think Cai's booking lanes tonight.

Haha Maz, I think today might be the day I put some IB's on layby too. :P

Eww both my boys smell like poop. Might have to go address that situation.

PP, I put a drop of nice smelling stuff in the wash (oil, perfume, whatever), to satisfy my need for nice smelling clothes - soap nuts don't have a smell.

Sounds good to me. I LOVE eucalyptus, so I tend to add a drop of that. I can't imagine one or two drops hurting anything, it gets rinsed out by the end...

well they are washing... on the rinse now lol. Will see. I will add some ecuy to my next load (doing the sheets/cot linen for DD)... so that will be nice for her flu! lol

And washing all in warm water! thats what it said to do which is fine for PUL and nappies!
