I was felling destructive, so I just dissected an old Monkey Doodlez I had here.
I am rather surprised with how little there is too it. I boost the one I used on Isla when it fit but Wow!

    All it is is
    Outer - PUL
Absorbent - a full body of flannel with 2 layers of terry towelling in the absorbent panel
    Inner - Fleece

Im surprised that they are as absorbent as they are when thats all there is!

eta - Maz, i have a black MD here for the little guy. I got a NB MD of NC & its so tiny LOL

    evening ladies.

Am being good ... only bought more moogoo this week (for me) and for Pip another snoozywun, some cow print flongies and ooh yeah, a mama pad for me.

FJ - least that explains why they didn't really work for us then!!!

Am not buying any itti's until the expo

Mel - she's gorgeous! More longie than bum but gorgeous!!!

Maz - do hope you're not coming down with anything.

WoHB - snoozywun. Really hoping he won't do a huge poo, he should be sleeping ...

FJ: i thought the Monkey Doodles used MICROFIBRE for their absorbency, or maybe i'm confused between teh Originals and the Micros MK. But the proof is in the "FJ Deconstruction" - cos there is nowhere to hide, once FJ is on the case!

Cow alert (Maz and Kazbah) on the NZ site called Mother's Instinct, they have the Goldbug harnesses, with a new COW version. You put it on the toddler like a backpack, and you hold the strap so they don't get run over. We have the Koala one (only cos they don't make a bilby one!!).

I made up my mind to get some BlueBerry trainers in medium, while discount code for hunt is valid, but mediums are obv the most popular size bought, hardly any mediums left in stock, and not in the colours i would have liked. (emerald, sapphire, the purple one).

bilbs has hit 11kg - no wonder my back is giving me grief!

WOTBB: night nappy wot dh put on her, KK AIO i thunk with longies cos dh thinks they are the grooviest pj bottoms - he realises it is overkill (mcn wise).

Gudi - ouch at the felting of your cover - i feel your pain! expensive lesson to learn heh? i'm so paranoid now, i store the woolies needing to be washed, in a completely separate room from the nappies waiting to be washed. The one time it happened to me, dh put the wool cover IN THE NAPPY PAIL!!!! Then he just happened to do the next nappy load, and didn't do a very thorough sorting job.

i wonder if Alioops is on the plane to Townsville by now?

Maz hope your feeling better soon!

Gigi - Bugger about the trainers! I picked up one from baby blossom but there wasn't a lot of colour choice there either. Have you tried the superundies from DD they are really cute and lovely and trim, not a huge amount of built in absorbancy but have a front pocket for boosting!

Have fun itti shopping to all those going!

Darn it had some thing to say and now I can't remember what it was....

Oh and if anyone wants a felted small purple sugarpeas woolcover let me know :-)

Ah the MD that went under the stitcch picker was a Large & I serisouly don't see how any child would still be in nappies that would be big enough to fit it.
I use to use it as a booster/cover for night nappies when she was a massive wetter. But Now its just been sitting in a pile of "swap/FTGH".
I wanted to see whats in them as I like the size of the NB one. But can't afford to buy more.

So I made up a look a like.
I did it with PUL, & Fleece inner the same.
But my absorbent layers is a full body of cotton rich fleece with 2 more layers with a layer of microfibre sandwiched between those.

I came up looking ok. Im going to change the pattern a little though so the front wraps around the belly a bit more to avoid wing drop.

But I think it will make a good NB lots of little wee's quick drying, daddy friendly "sposie" lookalike/usealike nappy.

DH really is thick when it comes to MCN. Not that he will be changing nappies left right & centre but if I have a pile of user friendly ones I will be confident if I need to ask him to do it that it will get on ok. Even back in the day of sposies he would never put them on tight enough. Thats the one thing I have always had to tell him. DO THEM TIGHTER!!

I prewashed all my NB stuff the other day. AIO's are the only thing I think I want more of.

I had a nB md and it was crapola fiona..the wee rolled out and everywere. So did not make my day.

have stayed away from the IB's you naughty woman. BUT Kaz thanks for reminding me...must get some moo goo for my kids buttox's. Vy woke scrfeam 3 times last night and holding her woo hoo. She finally has her eye teeth coming through so I gather its stinging her woo hoo when she wee's.

Mel....My name is Maz...im a MCN-a-holic also...my addictions has now lashed out to the wonders of material

BBL - Vy is trying to body surf mateauz again

kat - my entire stash for Nina are baby beehinds bamboo fitted. I love them. They're a great day and night nappy, take hardly any time to dry. I will occassionally use them on Emily as well, but I prefer the more trim mcn for her. I would definitely suggest you trying them out.

Love them. And I don't think they're all discontinued, just the colours in the bamboo. So they'll be natural coloured from now on. They should on-sell fairly well too, if you don't like them.

They re-sell really well. If you get one, don't like it, then I'm sure you'll have no problems re-selling it.
