Hey, awesome news on the hair!! Can't wait to see it! No, mine won't be natural red - when I go red, I really go red. I've never seen the point in dyeing my hair natural looking colours, how will people know it's dyed? ;) This is the first time in forever that my hair is remotely resembling its natural colour - can you guess why I dye it? I am so not a mousey brown kinda person LOL!!

Nappy related have been resisting buying up big while *discretely* hunting while pages load etc but have bookmarked so many things. I am torn, I would love to get a few more show off nappies but not sure how long till Ari will be toilet trained??? DS was so easy toilet trained in 2 wks Ari just doesn't seem interested and then next day she'll be weeing on the potty and saying wet and poo and whipping those nappies off - very confused?? Also anyone else who has TT ari does lots of little wees all day infact sometimes if she is just in undies they are only damp no puddles etc? Is that normal? DS only ever did huge wees with hours in between - perhaps this is why he was easier totoilet train?? thoughts? ideas? i'm sure there must be a toilet training thread somewhere should head there..

My second fluffy mail was also unexpected from a friend of mine who knitted me a whole heap of longies, all different colours and sizes.
Such small nappies and clothing, forgotten how small bubbies are when they are just new!!

Kat - if you don't want to do heaps of pre washes, just change bubs butt more often :) I do that - especially with IB's...
I've had it with my magicalls - going to sell them - away I say!!!! Complete change at 2am - give me a fitted and cover ANYDAY... or even a IB - had one of those on her (medium cos smalls were in the wash) and it lasted about 5 hours between changes - no leaks... ahhh... good nappies

Ali, No the airline isn't going to supply sposies for you, you have to take them as extra stuff. But I m pretty sure you are allowed extra as carry on luggage when you have kids.

Im 178cm which I thought was 5' 8 but I googled it & some say 5 8 while some say 5 10? Im pretty sure its 5 8 though.
As for hair! you should see my regrowth! Black with redish blonde regrowth is soooo not a good look LOL. (ok ok, its more red then anything but I will be damd if I ever admit to being a redhead!)
I am actually going to looka t getting some foils through it as I can't keep up with the regrowth. Also dying my hair so dark means I need to colour my white eyebrows & lashes also to match & thats every few weeks & I just dont have time.
So I figure its time to get back to something a little more natural looking.
Isla is in sposies still. I think the blister is on the right side of getting better & could handle being in cloth but she has now moved on to teething poo, little rat was sitting on the toilet DID a poo & then I put her back in cloth for her o do another massive toothpaste/mustard acid poo in the cloth!
I had it off her in moments of her doing it & while her bum wasn't red, she was complaining about it hurting the moment I wiped. So playing it safe for another day or so.
But also, I think I may leave her in sposies at night. She has been sleeping so much better the last few nights in sposies. Plus its nice not to wake to that overwhelming stench that is her wee in the mornings. Even DH has said she smells like a mens public toilet in the mornings LOL.
But we'll see, chances are I will use cloth still at night.
FJ sophies poos are horrendous as well, teething too! i have seriously considered putting her insposies for a few weeks cos they are so bad! causing rash as well, using sposies overnight and lathering her in gaia lotion!
bottom 2 yr old molars are the blame here.

LOL sorry maz.. my preggy brain is NOT in working order, not feeling the best... my MIL was admitted to hospital the other day for dehydration due to a virus, she is home now, but now my FIL has the virus, and we were with them the day before she got sick went into hospital, now i am not feeling the best :( great get sick and I WILL end up in hospital....
my nappies are all still in the sun...drying nicely...

Was listening to the radio this morning and cloth nappies, covers and wipes got a fantastic review. The guy announcer said his sister uses cloth and then went one to tell everyone all the different types she has. Also said how much cheaper they were than sposies. I was impressed at how positive he can across as I think he has no children himself. They even talked about dry pailing and how this smells less than when soaked.
So keep up the good work so you can get all babies in cloth!!!

Usually at the expo they have some great bargains Rivlas...sample packs, bulk specials, buy two get one free type things. Mostly only the bigger MCN makers go though because the site fees are into a couple of thousand dollars!!
OMG!! I just reveived 2 HUGE boxes of fabric from America that i had sent to get laminated months ago (thats how long it takes!!) and I am in nappy making heaven!! I think there is over 40 metres of all different kinds of stuff including some to die for tiedyed velvets and it has all laminated up soo perfectly...it is just awesome and lush....What am I going to do with it all?!!!! Maz?? wanna make some funky covers for me??!!!!

I didn't get fluffy mail today but I did get nappy hunt mail - soap nuts & some shirts from the baby eco store - I eagerly opened the bag of soap nuts to find them all black & turned to mush...!!! :( Sent the lady an email but haven't heard back yet, I was sooooooooo wanting to try them out too as it was nice & sunny, oh well.
Got a lovely birthday present this morning at 4 am - a great blocked milk duct. :rolleyes: I've tried everything but it's still there, big & ouchy, have made an appointment with the Doc for tommorrow incase I can't get rid of it by then, don't want to get mastitis, I am too much of a sook for that again.

Happy Birthday QM - hope your booby is no longer ouchies and that you get a better present than mastitis. I had one of those yesterday, as well as my first introduction to the joys of teeth versus nipple. Not nice. Euan's top tooth came through yesterday, and he's still working on the other canine so he's been super cranky-pants today.
He crashed out after mum's group today, so I managed to get him from car to change-table, then his bum changed and into bed without him even moving. Talk about stealth change!
